Zivan - A Firstborn

Being a part of this story for as long as I have been, has been nothing but special.

Cadine was our dearest Alexander’s first real “teacher” and he has loved her like no other. He had no qualms finding “his” teacher in the morning. But he wasn’t the only little boy aiming for her heart. Turns out all the boys in her class loved her. So when the announcement came that Cadine is expecting her first child, we all knew that the boys in her class would soon have to wait their turn. And I think we all secretly hoped that Cadine’s firstborn would be a boy.

Of course, I was incredibly thankful to be part of the gender reveal and yes, of course, we were overjoyed that everything that could be blue, turned out blue. Not long after we started planning the baby shower. And then we waited… and we waited… because there is no wait as long as the wait for a baby. 

On Sunday morning the 14th of August the wait was finally over.  A perfectly healthy baby boy was born to Roland & Cadine. And I could start planning the newborn session. 

Zivan is a Hebrew name and it means “alive” which also explained why his newborn session didn’t quite go as planned. This boy IS alive! But generally, I think we got the shots needed and now I can sit back and stare in wonder as I watch him grow.
