The tour lasts about three hours, beginning behind the Swakopmund plot and course through to Goanikontes and back to Swakopmund. Our guide, Martin, shared a wonderful variety of desert plants, explaining their names and medicinal uses. Being Damara, he also tried to teach us a few click sounds, but our tongues remained too stiff! Seeing the Welwitschias so close to Swakopmund was a pleasant surprise, and I hope to spend more time with them in the future. We also enjoyed viewing the moon landscape from the viewpoint as the last golden rays touched the mountain peaks. Absolutely! My tour was kindly co-sponsored by ATI Holidays and Charly’s Desert Tours. Thank you very much! Now, enjoy the photos!
